For 2026, Roys simplified the offerings into a few categories. Anything outside of those models will be a custom design, which are very welcome. Take a look and see what you like. Please contact us with any questions or to place an order.
Jet Stream
Glider

The Jetstream. Roys newest take-off from his already tried and true Dreadnought Glider.
whats the difference?
The Jetstream has the same classic glider outline, reminiscent of 1960 gun outlines ala Greg Noll and Pat Curren. Roy reimagined the bottom contours and added a tri-plane hull that features deep single concave into a double barrel concave to vee off the tail.
This funnels the water flow from rail to bottom and the feeling is added speed and rail to rail turning. Basically think of it as a souped-up restomod instead of old V-8 classic crusier.
Air Stream
Perfromance Glider

The Airstream. This is a design based off the San Diego Standby design – “The Magic.”
Whats different abut Roys version?
The Airstream has the same classic Magic DNA. This shape is reminiscent of the classic 1970’s design made popular by Paul Bordieri of G&S fame. This versatile outline has been a San Diego standby for over 50 years.
Roy tuned up the traditional bottom contours by adding a tri-plane hull that features a deep single concave into a double barrel concave to vee off the tail. This funnels the water flow from rail to bottom and the feeling is added speed and rail to rail turning.
It’s a board you can grab as your daily driver from 3′-10′ – from beaches to reefs. This is a 300 days a year board for sure.

Long Fish/ Nozzle

The long fish, for the past twenty years, has been a great addition to all surfers quivers. The one common thing, almost all were lacking wasn’t speed, it was turning radius.
Then came the Frye “Nozzle” design, which widened the outline all around; including the tail but the added high hip helped cure what was missing on the long fish designs of old. Now we had a board that caught waves with ease and was stable, loose and fast. This design is the missing link.
Roy liked the design but wanted to change a few things to make it a little more user friendly. First he added a more modern rail contour that is a bit more forgiving and geared toward performance. He then blended the deep single concave and pulled in the nose and tail a touch.
The result came out fantastic. The Slip Steam is made as a daily driver from 2’-10’ conditions. Its a board that can do anything and everything most surfers want at beaches, reefs and points. Highly recommended.

San Diego Fish

This Modern Fish features a refined design built for speed, flow, and smooth rail-to-rail surfing. It carries a modified hull bottom with softened down rails and a clean edge in the last 12–18 inches for added drive. A deep concave runs between the fins and extends roughly six inches back from the nose, enhancing lift and responsiveness.
The tightened outline brings the swallow tips to 10.5 – 11 inches, creating a subtle hip that improves maneuverability without sacrificing glide. Glassing is expertly done by Shoreline, while the hand-shaped, foiled wood fins are crafted in-house using marine-ply slant backs. Each fin receives four layers of 6 oz cloth for added strength and durability.
Slightly increased rocker boosts turning performance, making this board a modern, turbocharged take on the classic fish—built for surfers who want timeless style with upgraded performance.

San Diego Egg

The Egg. A San Diego staple and one of the best all-around designs for everyday conditions.
The Egg was pioneered by Skip Frye in 1968 when he wanted ore from his vee bottoms after the 1968 World Contest in Puerto Rico. Since then it has become a standard in every surfers quiver due to its easy to ride feel and excellent performance in any kind of waves. If there was only one design you could have, this would be it.
Roys features a tri-plane hull but can also be made in single concave and a venturi/bonzer style/ triple concave bottom. It features user friendly, blended 60/40 rails and is recommended as a tri-fin but can also be ridden with a single box set up and side bites.
